What to Expect

  • People typically lie on a table fully clothed (so please wear comfortable clothing). You can also receive treatment in a chair or a hospital bed etc... (Even distantly!)

  • You'll be asked if there are any issues you might like to specifically address. You can keep this information to yourself or share it with your practitioner. The point of this is to set the intention for healing.

  • You'll be asked to take a few deep breaths to begin to relax the body and then close your eyes.

  • The Practitioner will simply place their hands on or slightly above the head, shoulders, back, chest, stomach, and limbs. Also on injuries or other areas of discomfort.

  • Halfway through your session, you will be asked if you would like to move to your side or belly in order to work on both sides of the body but if you prefer to stay on your back you are most welcome to stay there.

  • At the end of the session, you will be lightly tapped and informed the session is over. Allow yourself some time before you rise. You should drink plenty of water to rid yourself of toxins. The Reiki practitioner will discuss what you experienced during the session and answer any questions you may have.

  • You may feel warmth, vibration, tingling or any other sensations throughout the session - This is normal!
